Description


Genuine Jaguar front door electric window lift motor, removed from a 1992 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Facelift.


This OEM motor drives the front window regulator mechanism, raising and lowering the door glass when the electric window switch is operated. Jaguar issued a service bulletin in November 1992 covering revised XJS window lift motors due to complaints of slow, sticking or noisy window operation.

Jaguar’s parts catalogue confirms that different window motors were used depending on VIN and side, so matching the existing motor is important.


Important Compatibility Note


Jaguar revised the XJS window lift system during this period. New motors were introduced from VIN 184117, although Jaguar stated that the revised assemblies could be fitted to earlier cars using the appropriate additional components.


For this reason, please compare the motor body, drive gear/tooth count, electrical connector and mounting points with your existing unit before ordering.
